Six particularly talented artists were awarded grants from the Canton of Thurgau at the Amriswil Cultural Forum. The grants are each endowed with 25,000 francs. In her speech, government councilor Monika Knill advocated promoting culture as a means of identifying with one’s homeland.<\/h4>\n

This year, the six grants were awarded to artists from the fields of music, theater, dance, literature and visual arts. They are intended to enable further development of artistic work. The expert jury selected the following six Thurgau artists from 34 applications:<\/p>\n

\n\u2717 Gabriel Estarellas Pascual, musician, Amriswil;
\n\u2717 C\u00e9cile Hummel, visual artist, Basel;
\n\u2717 Andri Stadler, visual artist, Lucerne;
\n\u2717 Michaela Stuhlmann, performer, M\u00fcllheim;
\n\u2717 Bettina Wohlfender, author, Sirnach<\/p>\n
