Romanshorn was treated to a unique performance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Virtuous string players, virtuoso swing ensembles, and virtuoso interplay: This is how two youth ensembles presented themselves in an unusual performance early Sunday evening. At one point, Dai Kimoto was at the conductor’s desk, at another, Gabriel Estarellas Pascual. At one point, the Swing Kids performed alone, playing pieces such as “Sing, sing, sing” (Louis Prima), “Gracias Jeremias,” and “Julia my hope” (Dai Kimoto), while the youth orchestra performed several times, also alone, with “Jazz Pizzicato” and “Jazz Legato” (Leroy Anderson). And then all the musicians demonstrated their talent with the tango composition “La Cumarcita” (Gerado Rodriguez) as if they had always played together: It was a true joy to listen and be swept along by it. Of course, soprano soloist Isabelle Nahrstedt and horn player Janik Engl also contributed to the storms of enthusiasm with the “Nocturne” for horn and string orchestra.<\/p>\n
