The Thurgau Youth Orchestra makes a lasting contribution to promote young musicians by not only offering them the opportunity to get to know and experience orchestral literature at the highest level, but also to grow into orchestral playing through targeted development.<\/p>\n

Training<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Thurgau Youth Orchestra is connected to the Chamber Music Academy, which offers an additional training platform for young musicians. This applies both to the entire canton of Thurgau and nationwide.<\/p>\n

The young musicians gain experience playing together in small groups and are thus trained in addition to orchestral playing or in preparation for it. The individual support of the chamber music director makes it possible to adapt the repertoire to the level of the students and thus ensure development. In this way, the young musicians can grow into the high demands of orchestral playing.<\/p>\n

This is a very good opportunity, especially for young wind players, to gain their first experience in ensemble playing, as playing the solo voices in the orchestra already requires a great deal of technical skill. All children and young people aged 10 and over who have sufficient command of the instrument can play. The requirements depend on the pieces to be worked on.<\/p>\n
