The Thurgau Youth Orchestra’s concert tour in September in the cities of Weinfelden, Wil and Romanshorn was a great success with audiences and critics. E. Elgar Cello Concerto with Chiara Enderle Samatanga and A. Dvorak Symphony No. 7 were performed.
Criticism:
“With this The Thurgau Youth Orchestra, together with soloist Chiara Enderle Samatanga, performed the Cello Concerto in E minor by Edward Elgar on Sunday, September 15th, in the Protestant church in Romanshorn.”
Great emotions, melancholy and patriotism in the works of two great composers: With the Cello Concerto in E minor by Edward Elgar and the 7th Symphony by Antonin Dvořák, the Thurgau Youth Orchestra has chosen two emotionally touching works of the Romantic era for its autumn concert. Under the direction of Gabriel Estarellas Pascual, the musicians took the audience on a journey into turbulent times at the turn of the 20th century.
